How daily-wage labour is calculated
For each worker: days worked = full days + ½ × half days. Wages = days worked × daily rate. Balance to pay = wages − advances given during the period.
Example: Ramesh, a mason at ₹900/day, is present 5 days and half-day on Saturday → 5.5 days × ₹900 = ₹4,950. He took a ₹1,000 advance midweek, so the Saturday payment is ₹3,950.
How to use it on site
- Add each worker once with their work (mason, helper, bar bender, carpenter) and daily rate.
- Every morning, open today and tap Mark all present, then change the few who are absent or half day.
- When you give an advance (kharchi), enter it against the worker for that week or month.
- On payment day, share the summary on WhatsApp with the owner or contractor and print or export the sheet for records.
Weekly sheets suit most sites that pay every Saturday; switch to Month for monthly-paid staff. Attendance is stored by date, so switching period or going back to an earlier week keeps what you marked.
Overtime, food allowance and PF/ESI are not included — add them to the advance or rate as you prefer. Check minimum wage rules in your state.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a daily wage worker’s salary?
Count full days, add half of the half-days, and multiply by the daily rate. Subtract any advance already paid. 5 full days and 1 half day at ₹900/day = 5.5 × 900 = ₹4,950.
How is a half day counted?
As 0.5 of a day’s wage. If your site pays half days differently, adjust the daily rate or advance accordingly.
Where is the attendance saved?
In this browser on this phone only. Nothing is uploaded. Export a CSV or print the sheet regularly as a backup.
Can I use it for a full month?
Yes. Switch Period to Month to get all 28–31 days, or use Week for sites that pay every week.
Can I print the attendance register?
Yes. Print sheet gives a landscape register with every day, days worked and payable per worker; Export CSV opens in Excel or Google Sheets.
Can the site supervisor and owner see the same sheet?
Not with this free tool — it lives on one phone. Share the WhatsApp summary, or use DukaanKit Construction for shared, site-wise labour and expense records.
