Privacy Policy

DukaanKit ("we", "our", "the app") is a business management application developed by KineticxHub. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

1. Data We Collect

• Account data: Owner and manager name, email address and password; staff names and 4-digit PINs. Passwords and PINs are stored only as salted hashes, never in readable form.
• Business data: Business name, type, city, and Instagram handle (provided during onboarding).
• Operational data: Orders, products, stock, customers, expenses, staff attendance, and menu items you create within the app.
• Device data: For each till we issue a random device token and record its platform (Windows/Mac), app version and when it last connected. No hardware identifiers are collected.
• Location for attendance: The shop location the owner saves, and the phone location a staff member shares at the moment they mark attendance, used only to check they are at the shop.
• App usage and health data: Which screens are opened, where on a screen people tap (as a position, not what was typed), app errors, printer results and till status. See section 3.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the DukaanKit service — billing, stock tracking, POS, and financial reports.
• To authenticate your account and secure your data.
• To enforce subscription and plan limits.
• To sync data between your device and our servers when internet is available.
• To send service emails: password reset links, email confirmation, and the daily or weekly shop summary (which the owner can switch off).

3. App Usage Analysis

To find problems and improve DukaanKit, the till app and the back-office app send us usage and health information: screens opened, tap positions on a screen, time spent on a screen, error messages, printer results and till status (app version, whether sales are waiting to sync).

• It does not include your customers' details, amounts, item names, anything typed into the app, or PINs. Error messages are shortened and anything that looks like an email address or phone number is removed before it is stored.
• We use it to fix errors, improve screens, and suggest features or plans that may help your shop.
• We may use an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to summarise totals for a shop — for example orders per hour, error counts and which features are used — into a weekly report for the DukaanKit team. It is not given customer data.
• Usage and health records are deleted after 90 days.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored in a database on servers we operate with OVHcloud. Each shop's data is kept separate, and only that shop's sign-ins can read it. DukaanKit administrators can view a shop's data to support it; every such visit is logged.
• The till app also keeps a copy on the shop's computer so billing works without internet.
• All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• We do not store your PIN in plain text — it is hashed before storage.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Your business data is yours. We use a small number of service providers only to run DukaanKit:

• OVHcloud — server hosting.
• Resend — sending service emails (the recipient address and the email content).
• Anthropic — the weekly AI summary described in section 3 (aggregated totals only).

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. App usage and health records are kept for 90 days. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
• Export: CSV export is available for orders, customers, and stock (Pro plan).
• Deletion: Contact us to request complete account and data deletion.
• Emails: The owner can switch the daily or weekly summary email off in the back-office (Account).

8. Children's Privacy

DukaanKit is a business application intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
